Bee Creek Ranch Tree Trimming

Bee Creek Ranch is a wedding venue and Airbnb destination. Being on such a fancy ranch, we have a lot of trees. We’ve not only become experts on taking care of our trees, we’ve helped out a lot of other people too. We’re Mark and Talha (that’s us in the picture), both friends who work at the ranch, and while this isn’t our full-time focus, (i.e. we’re not arborists) we do at certain times go out and help people with their tree problems. Living in Texas, we get a lot of storms. From the ice storm of 2020 to the ice storm of 2023, we’ve seen the disaster of it all. In fact, we get an ice storm every year almost. As a result, we mainly help people with tree clean-up after storms. It helps out our ranch and also helps our neighbors out.

We cut-up, and take away your debris. We use it as firewood for the ranch and we also mulch it. Your trees shouldn’t be put into a landfill. Let us do the job and give your tree a second life by doing something good with it.

What do we do?

  1. Quote: Send us pictures and we’ll try to give you a quote. If need be, we’ll come out and give a quote. If there are special factors like over roofs, very high, whole tree, etc… let us know. We need to know if we will need special equipment.
Before we start we make certain we’re all agreed on a price. Sometimes we will give the final price on location before starting if the pictures were unclear and we didn’t see it beforehand.

    • We do not do projects that involve the following:

      • Known Oak Wilt problems (Call an Arborist)

      • The Tree limbs needing cut are in electric lines (Call Electric Company)

      • Limbs needing to be cut/removed are very, very high with no substantial support/trunk nearby (Truck w/ basket lift needed)

  2. Preparation: Tree Health

    1. We always clean our equipment beforehand and after.

    2. Trees put on their self-healing within 72 hrs. So if the branch is broken clean off, or broken enough live wood isn’t around the breakage, we won’t paint it (no need, harmful to the tree). If we cut into live wood we can paint it if you like, just let us know. If it’s an Oak tree and we’re in Oak Wilt season (starts late Feb), most arborists recommend it. If it’s outside Oak Wilt season, Arborists tend to be split on whether to paint or not, as painting the tree can cause troubles down the road. You make the decision, we’ll do what you want.

    3. We will not work on trees known to be infected with Oak Wilt. We don’t want it. Our friends and neighbors don’t want it. Our customers don’t want it. If you know you have it, or it’s nearby your tree, do not call us. Call an Arborist.

  3. Cutting: We will cut up the trees into branches (for mulch) and larger pieces (firewood). We believe in reusing trees. No landfills for us.

  4. Loading: We will load the larger pieces and then put the branches in our trailer.

  5. Multiple Trips: Sometimes there is a lot of material and we’ll need multiple trips back to our ranch where we unload and prepare the materials for second life processing.

  6. Cleaning: We’ll tidy up the place and rake it. We don’t promise no twig left behind, but it will be a whole lot better than it was.

  7. Unloading: We unload the trees at our ranch where they will begin their second life giving back to Bee Creek Ranch.

NOTE: If you like, we can leave the tree debris on your property if you want to keep it. Some people do want to keep it. The price is sometimes less if hauling multiple trips would have been necessary, and it saves on our processing of the material later.

Pricing

All jobs are different. Pricing ranges from simple quick and easy clean up jobs to major disasters where we’re taking all the broken trees away from a large property. We do our best to be very competitive and still able to grab a burger and soda on the way home.

The following things impact our pricing:

  • Distance from our location - Gas isn’t cheap anymore. We’re located just outside Lakeway/Bee Cave, Tx

  • The equipment/people we need to bring - trucks, trailers, chainsaws, number of people, etc…

  • The size/type of the job - number of trees, their size, limbs or trunks, whole trees or twigs, climbing trees or picking it up off the ground.

  • Number of trips we have to take to unload debris and return for more.
